fasting-empty-plate-19MEDITATION

One of the original meanings for the word meditate in the Hebrew language is the english word “rumination”. The same word used for a cow that chews the cud. Chewing the cud is when a cow ingests food, chews, swallows, regurgitates and chews and then shallows again about 62 chewing and regurgitation cycles to finish chewing the cud.  This ends up being about 6-8 hours of chewing. It usually takes about 24 hours to digest. With that in mind … Faith and I love Psalm 103:1-5. There is hardly a week where this scripture isn’t referenced in our home. Take this with you all day and meditate on it. chew it up, ingest it and then bring it up and do it again, and then again. You’ll be amazed at what you start to realize and what becomes clearer.

1 Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Chew on it all day!!

Happy Fasting:)
