LEMON WATER

If you get a glass of pure water and then squeeze just a little bit of lemon in it, what happens? All of the water tastes like it has some lemon in it. Our lives are like that. If you pollute one area of your life, it actually affects every area. Most of the time we don’t even realize it. If you get sloppy at work, then you will probably be sloppy in your finances, marriage, consistency with the kids, friendship, relationship with God, and fill in the blank.

JEHOVAH ROPHI [RAPHA] – The Lord My Healer

With all the pollution that is around us on a regular basis it is impossible to not be affected by it. We need supernatural healing to flood us. Check out this story in Exodus:

Exodus 15:26
22 Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water. 23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.) 24 So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?” 25 Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test. 26 He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.” 27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water.

Isn’t it interesting that humanity’s soul has been tainted and sin is present in all of us. It was in our parents and it is in our children. The only thing that could make it alright and heal our bitter waters was a piece of wood. The cross of Christ. He came to heal. I love that God says He is our healer when he is talking about all of the water being bitter. Christ came to heal our mind, our brokenness, our emotions, the scar tissue of past relationship, our physical bodies and our brokenness. He came to infiltrate every part of our being and make it whole again … if you would just let him. Don’t get used to the water being bitter and think that it is the way it has to be. Let Him in. Meditate on this question today:

Q. Are you willing to admit that your aren’t whole, to get God’s healing?

Don’t read over this question. Ask it … then ask it again … ponder and then ask it again … and then … you get the idea. You will find their are layers that you have built up that may take a little time to get through.

Until Tomorrow … Happy Fasting!
